Overview
The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Health & Social Care qualification is for learners who work in health and social care and children and young people’s services listed below in the following roles:
• Registered managers
• Managers
• Assistant managers
• Deputy managers
• Senior care/support workers/supervisors, co-ordinators, team leaders etc.
These qualifications guide and assess development of knowledge, understanding and skills in leadership and management practice within health and social care and children and young people’s services and serves as the required qualification for registration and regulatory requirements for the sector in England.
Entry Requirements
Learners are required to have a minimum of a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, and must be in a leadership, supervisory or managerial role, within the health and social care and children and young people’s settings.
Method of Assessment
Assessment takes place through evaluation of work-based performance, presenting evidence, witness testimony and questioning. A portfolio of evidence is produced which demonstrates that the candidate can perform to the level described.
