Skills Bootcamps in Essex – Funded by Essex County Council

Our Skills Bootcamps in Essex provide free, flexible training designed to help adults develop in-demand skills, progress in their careers or move into new employment.

Skills Bootcamps are designed around the needs of employers and local industries, giving you practical, job-ready skills while helping businesses across Essex address skills gaps.

The programme is delivered locally through Essex County Council and funded by the Department for Work and Pensions as part of the national Skills Bootcamps programme.

Who Can apply

To be eligible for an Essex Skills Bootcamp, you must:

  • Be aged 19 or over

  • Live in Essex, including Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock, and meet the relevant residency requirements

  • Have the right to work in the UK

  • Be employed, self-employed, unemployed or returning to work

Some bootcamps may have additional entry requirements, such as previous qualifications or industry experience. These will be shown on the individual bootcamp page.
